From the Pastor: The Daniel Diet On Sunday morning November 8, 2009 10 members of Hollies Baptist Church agreed to stop consuming media from the world for ten days. What will happen to them mentally, physically, spiritually? Watch this sight and find out!
A Challenge for This Generation
Beginning this Sunday November 8 I'm inviting people who are sick of political ads and other garbage cluttering our existence to
1. Cloister myself away from worldly communication for 10 days (TV Radio Internet except that which is required to maintain vital relationships or employment)
2. Consume only what is needed to satisfy hunger and to purchase only what is needed to live
3. Commit to pray with other challenge partners and to replace all of the time normally spent consuming media with time spent consuming God's word.
4. Confer on Wednesday night November 18, 2009 at 6:30PM at Hollies Baptist Church (online or in person) to share what this experience has meant to you. Share your successes, failures and blessings.
