Allow me to narrate what happened last September 26: this dreadful day all through the night up to this present moment, changed the outlook (even more) of so many Filipinos in all walks of life!
Typhoon “ONDOY” hits our areas leaving us a heart-breaking display of the wrath of nature! It claimed countless lives especially of children! More than ten feet high of flood and gushing mud flood killed many precious lives, devastated their homes! Destroyed communication lines! Separated loved ones without any mercy! In just a few seconds Typhoon ONDOY flattened several areas with strong flood current and buried alive many precious lives under thick mud!
I myself was an eye witness of all these scenario of great anger from nature! The first 15 hours we were stranded, we cannot go home because flood water surrounded all exit points! I will just be talking about the experience of our people and those to whom we minister to on a weekly basis and those in our network: 15 families from our Good News Baptist Church ministries, 10 families from Beulah Land Baptist Church of Pastor Antonio Bueno, 20 families from Community Baptist Church of Pastor Alex Bueno, 8 families from Soldiers of Christ Baptist Church of Pastor David Eisma and 5 families from First Baptist Church of Pastor Ireneo Catalonia. Two house churches and two homes of our members whose roofs were taken away. Some were recovered but damaged. Each of them is in need of at least twelve pieces of 10 feet galvanized sheets.
It is heart-breaking to see some children were being buried while the newly found body from the mud is being put in a casket! As our people watch the news and visit evacuation center and distribute relief goods, you just cannot hold back your tears seeing those countless families suffering from terrible pain, hunger, thirst, physically and emotionally drained! That is not mentioning the fact of hideous smell coming from all over the place! But thank God as we try to witness for Christ, God saves souls of people!
Would you please pray and remember them who are now struggling to live? Nothing was left to them! All their belongings were crushed by the typhoon! The way I look at it, it would take a month or two for them to recover and be on their feet again. Their daily needs are food, clothing, drinking water, medicines for kids and school supplies or anything that would help them survive. Our church gathered the best we can all our extra clothing and made special offerings but only reached the scratch for the huge needs.
According to the weather bureau the coming typhoon is even stronger than ONDOY! God have mercy! i'am begging your prayer fo this situation: my daugter marisel hate me an want to move out because she leave her husband with her three years old daugther in te car and when i went o the car tlitte girl was in an indecent position. i didn't saw no more. i wat i saw and to do not permit her daughter to be alone with her dad and my daugthers' reaction toward me was awful.she told me that i'am ruining all her life that i'am her enemy. she hates me completly, only because i was caring about her and her daugther. she wants to move out with her husband. i feel scared because if she move out that men can do wit the poor girl whatever he wants to do. please, pray for this situation i do not want that my daugther can move out with that kind of man, he is an unbeliever. i do not want to cause any harm to my dagthers' husband alex, but i care a lot about my poor granddagther, and about my daugther, se do not deserve to have a sick husband. thanks very much and be blessed. francy
